1/ The gender elites aren't cut out for brinksmanship. Liverpool Pride ended their sponsor relationship with Barclays Bank over a row in which BB said they would obey the Supreme Court ruling. They were counting on BB to buckle, but they didn't reckon with commercial reality.

2/ Barclays, faced with a choice between "pay enormous sums in damages for breaking the law" and "keep a bunch of idiotic gendocrats happy" obviously chose the former, they were always going to, and only their foolish opponents would think the rule of law was somehow optional.

3/ It's a fitting epitaph for this silly event that having been addicted to and completely reliant on corporate patronage it now withers away having bit the hand that fed it. With no hinterland of real grassroots lesbian/gay activism it cannot survive without generous patronage.

4/ This has the feeling of a moment in history, the unmistakable outline of the shape of things to come. These bloated, pointless, silly parties - part lecture, part public sex acts have looked like the wrong side of history for some time and history they will now join. Good.

5/ Pride, and the dangerous doctrine of political transvestitism it represents now faces a well deserved mass extinction level event. The world has changed utterly. The crime of gender medicine, the stolen women's sporting trophies, the authoritarianism of the be kind brigade.

6/ While the rest of modernity responds in an adult fashion to the Supreme Court reality check, Pride will continue to whinge, stamp its feet and bemoan the plight of terribly sad heterosexual transvestites and their spurious and now legally hopeless complaints and demands.

8/ We who opposed this rotten homophobic misogynist movement never required or obtained corporate sponsorship, we didn't need it to fight something so obviously wrong and dangerous. By comparison, our opponents now wither into irrelevance without it.
