0n May 12, Sen. Josh Hawley felt the issue of preserving health care for the working poor and needy so important that he wrote a NYT op-ed: nytimes.com/2025/05/12/opi… On July 1 Hawley voted Yes for a version of the bill that cuts health care worse than the one he decried on May 12.
