Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., just told us he will support a motion to vacate the speakership. THOUGH he also says he will not be the one to push that motion to the floor.

--> This morning at GOP conference, Massie asked Johnson to resign. Johnson said no.

There's nothing procedurally *complicated* about Johnson's strategy---a rule for four bills; separate consideration (w/ possible) amendments; and a mechanism to combine them. Nor is there doubt about the *substantive* support.

What is complicated is arranging the politics.
