If you're one of the many people watching this new @Netflix show, you'll remember seeing Dr. Michael Greger (Michael Greger, M.D.) featured extensively. So much of what he talks about is in his New York Times best seller, "How Not to Age." It's worth reading IMO!
Check out this new book from Maisie Ganzler! I was honored to be interviewed for it and, MUCH more importantly, Maisie is one of the true trailblazers and heroes in creating a more humane food system. amzn.to/3RTobjx
Please Ron DeSantis: Do NOT sign the Kristi Noem Bill (SB 1084) which, buried within it, will allow people to shoot dogs. Unlike Kristi Noem, you're a #dog lover not a dog killer. 🙏🏼 Friends: Please RT far & wide to help be a voice for #dogs and all #animals! Casey DeSantis
Just finished this profound book by Austin Frerick about the “Barons” who control much of our food system. Wondering how workers, the environment, animals, and family farmers have been exploited by big food corporations? It’s in here, with a hopeful clarion call for change.
Really enjoyed watching this. It's not easy to make a film that's enjoyable and inspiring to folks who are deep into working to make the lives of animals better and folks who happen to, well, just like animals. I think the director pulled it off very well! humansandotheranimalsmovie.com
.Sarah Lake makes a powerful case for government and corporate support for helping consumers eat more plant-based foods. Tremendous talk! ted.com/talks/sarah_la…
Thank you, Vivek Ramaswamy. Animal cruelty should be a non-partisan political issue and is already one that ordinary Americans care deeply about, no matter their party affiliation.
Definitely worth reading this thread. Thank you Liv Boeree for your strong voice on this critical issue!
A piece that makes you think by David Kay in the Harvard Business School newspaper. "And while the rate of animal suffering today is higher than it has ever been, it is paradoxically also true that society’s views towards animals have never been more enlightened..." harbus.org/post/the-most-…
This is tremendous. Thank you Liv Boeree for being one of the most passionate and eloquent voices bringing these critical issues to the surface and speaking about them with such logic and passion. Lewis Bollard was inspiring as always and gave a masterclass interview.
Great reporting from Kenny Torrella. Such a (previously) hidden world of cruelty and killing.
Thank you Rep. Jim McGovern for always being a voice for those who need one. For the family farmers, for the voters and consumers who have fought for more responsibly produced food, for animals suffering in tiny cages, for everyone who wants a more merciful, kinder world.
A must watch interview with Lewis Bollard and Dwarkesh Patel. Dwarkesh: thank you for shining a light on such a critical issue. The opportunity for impact is immense so your attention and philanthropy you're providing is hugely appreciated!
One of the most effective and touching talks about factory farming I've seen. He outlined a sad reality with hope, and a challenge for us all. Great work Lewis Bollard.
