Without TOM ORZECHOWSKI, you don't have the total package pop-culture phenomenon that is most immediately called "Claremont and Byrne's X-MEN". A less-skilled letterer, or a letterer whose style was incompatible with the art, would have hurt this book. Lettering is an artform.
