One of the best things npm could do is reject all dependencies that have less than 1,000 lines of code. The brainrot of not copy and pasting and self maintaining these trivial libraries (99% of them) is high and the supply chain attack vector has been compromised repeatedly

Technical people get a lot more out of LLMs because they can speak the domain language. If you can say “use library X for this” or “parse the AST instead of regex,” the results are much better. That kind of precision can make the output 10x better than what non-technical folks
