Public workers (most of which were once called essential workers) will not pay for the economic failures of this government. Join a union and strike hard!

Thames water should be taken into public ownership permanently. Water companies have been taking billions in profits while dumping raw sewage in our rivers. Families have been ripped off for far too long and now they’re dumping the debt on the public.

"Support for junior doctors has grown from 47% in January to 56% in June" The public are with us, up the union! theguardian.com/society/2023/j…

Doctors in England have begun the longest single period of industrial action in the history of the NHS. I sat down with co-chair of The BMA doctors committee Vivek Trivedi to discuss what's been happening in negotiations and how we got to this point. tribunemag.co.uk/2023/06/want-u…

. Vivek Trivedi gave doctors' argument VS govt re strikes BBC Breakfast 👍🏼🙏🏼 They have huge support because the vast majority here remain kind & good people. BUT what we see very clearly is a greedy, bullying, lying Tory gov. The very worst. Tories have to go SOON. Thoughts?

Solidarity with all 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 juniors out on strike today, starting the longest strike in NHS history The offer achieved in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 shows that talks can & must take place while strikes ongoing Westminster needs to grow up, get credible & start treating doctors with the respect they deserve

🚨BREAKING: The Government has suffered a major defeat as the High Court rules that its “strike-breaking” agency worker regulations are unlawful. The important judgement means employers can no longer use agency staff to fill in for striking workers during industrial action.

🚨 | BREAKING: The British Medical Association has REJECTED Rish Sunak's "pay cut in real terms" - insisting junior doctors and consultants will continue striking

Thanks to junior doctors in England who came out in droves to support their pickets. This weekend, we say #RestAndVoteYes. Recharge for the week ahead and take 5 to vote in the re-ballot. Our right to strike depends on you!

A century ago, trade unionists founded the Workers Travel Association, which organised cheap, luxurious holidays in the belief that discovery & adventure should be for the masses – not just the wealthy. As late as the 60s, it was organising holiday plans for over 100,000 workers.

Utterly bizarre that politicians who have their meals subsidised by the taxpayer say there is no money to feed hungry kids in schools. Over just 3 years, the public have forked out over £17m to subsidise MPs' meals. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.

NEW: Record numbers of doctors have joined the British Medical Association (The BMA), with membership at an all-time high. Membership of the trade union for doctors currently stands at 190,366, up by more than 25,000 compared with this time last year.

I don’t care about 71 percent of Americans being in favor of unions that shit means nothing if we’re not reversing the Decline of union membership and changing Federal Labor Laws that actually hold companies accountable.
