A century ago, trade unionists founded the Workers Travel Association, which organised cheap, luxurious holidays in the belief that discovery & adventure should be for the masses – not just the wealthy. As late as the 60s, it was organising holiday plans for over 100,000 workers.

Utterly bizarre that politicians who have their meals subsidised by the taxpayer say there is no money to feed hungry kids in schools. Over just 3 years, the public have forked out over £17m to subsidise MPs' meals. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.
