I try to focus on policies (vs people), but I’ve been asked a lot about this specific article. The premise is YOU CAN IGNORE COVID (…if you’re up to date on vaccines and take Paxlovid when sick…).

But the headline buries the lede, almost to the point of being disinformation.

I really don’t care what Elon chooses to name his platform. The only relevant question from my perspective is whether it (or any platform) allows for meaningful and fact-based exchange on public health issues of significance.

1/ Particle Emissions from #NaturalGasStoves

NG stoves is a hot issue. There is abundant & increasing literature related to NOx emissions, & impacts on health & climate change associated w/ natural gas combustion. This thread focuses only on particle emissions from gas stoves.

For the average American, we StanfordECHOLab calculate that cumulative smoke exposure (PM2.5 exposure on each day, summed across days) through mid-2023 is already way worse than total cumul exposure in every year since 2006. And main fire season in West is just getting started.
