Fantastic service this morning, banger hymns, thought provoking sermon, utterly outstanding Sunday School art project and a truly international congregation. Loved the reminder to wear red and that we so far have 21 different languages lined up for the readings at Pentecost!

End of year is definitely approaching. We are now officially entering the crazy week, lots of rehearsals for the summer concert and putting final touches to the big trip to Switzerland.

Going on the best tram route into Brux. Tram 44 might be a bus replacement service at the moment, but it's an iconic route along beautiful fascinating streets. Off to meet a friend for dinner after work.

6 more school days in school, the other 8 are on a school trip. This has been a crazy year, but receiving a lovely, heartfelt thank you card from a year 13 student was a great high today, alongside the ice cream treat ordered in my best Dutch alongside very excited year 3s.

A rather hectic day, couple of cover lessons in the sun, concert band rehearsal and my anonymous poem was published. Time to relax in the garden with a book and the test match.

Today is always one of the best days of the year. Rehearsals all morning and then the big end of year music concert celebration. The festival lights are up. It's almost the end of the school year.

3 more days of actual school and then, for the rest of this school year, I will be in the mountains with an excellent team of friends/colleagues and 42 students.

For the final time this academic year. Coffee in the garden before running for the bus. Sad to miss all the end of year events and farewells, but starting tomorrow I'll be in the mountains for 10 days.

Stunning hike for our Gold D of Eers today. Plenty of fresh water drinking fountains and small streams for them to top up and some lovely shade in the forest.

A weekend of contrasts, from the stunning mountains of Switzerland to Holy Trinity Brussels with barely time to sleep, but was not going to miss attending a good friend’s ordination. Banger hymns sung with gusto by the huge congregation, and very many overheating priests.

I’ve had three great days at the Test match, excited for tomorrow and Sunday. Tripped up crossing the road outside the ground on the way in today, two lovely stewards ran to check I was ok, and urged me to get first aid inside Old Trafford. Not had a skinned knee for a while.

Went to the wedding of a colleague today. It was joyful and had absolutely amazing Algerian food. The PE dept scrub up pretty well. Thoroughly enjoyed catching up and hearing about all the holidays knowing we have another month to go.

On #LeftHandersDay I'm the only teacher at my school to do lefty ticks on homework, the handing back of the first homework always takes twice as long as it needs to due to shock and confusion! I also loved batting in cricket when the whole field had to move because "Lefty in".

Busy weekend, dinner with friends last night, led the morning service and preached this morning, then caught up with more friends over coffee, now time to make roast chicken and finish my book. Beautiful sunny day in Leuven.

Great start to the holiday Test Match Special , England v Australia on the radio while marking some psychology essays so I do not have to think about them for the next week and a half. I’ve been looking forward to this match all World Cup.

So grateful to have attended Choral Eucharist for All Saints Day today Great St Bartholomew I will look forward to visiting again when I am next visiting from Belgium. Absolute banger hymns. Thank you.
