This afternoon I made the connection that Jackie Robinson’s MLB Debut and the 1947 Texas City Disaster occurred on back to back days. 🤯

And today I learned that in 1943 the Galveston Bay Region was hit my a Cat 2 Hurricane that arrived without any warning from the government. Why? Because they were afraid German U-Boats might benefit from the information.
