Regarding Thatcher Demko. My experience was that everything Canucks goalie related goes through Ian Clark. He’s an advocate, protects and manages the goalies. He may not always get his way, but he leaves nothing left to chance. Injuries sometimes just happen.

Regardless of injuries or anything else, being able to win this series in 5 is incredibly important in the big picture. Going back to BNA for game 6 is a haul and just adds to the wear and tear you need to try to avoid on a long run.

In 2011 for game 6 in BNA we had 2 different travel plans home depending on the result. The big issue was that the pilot’s duty hours were at the limit depending on if the game went to OT. Didn’t make the call until right before the game ended. Was a sweet flight home!

Having experienced the 09-12 Vancouver Canucks playoffs, I’m kinda numb to the noise about the officiating and DOPS. Like how people say teams need to be there a couple times to learn about the reality of the playoffs… fans kind of need that too. Every fan base feels the same way rn.
