It’s Friday night and I’m already feeling that guilt of not having done enough work during this half term. Teaching must be one of the few jobs where we’re constantly thinking about work when we’re supposed to be off. Sunday is going to be a killer.

I came in to half term with a bunch of new ideas I was going to have ready for term 2. There's one day left, and I felt guilty that I hadn't planned these ideas. Yet then I realised - if I had, I would've missed time making memories with my family and friends. What matters most?

In #Year5 maths today we are on White Rose Maths X by 10, 100 and 1,000. To support some of my learners, I find this simple scaffold works well & means they can work independently. They stick the white sheet in their book & use loose tracing paper to move the digits 🥰 #EduTwitter
