This is abhorrent. I’m absolutely shaken to the core by this. Pray for Charlie Kirk’s family. For a lot of Conservative commentators and public figures, even here in the U.K., this will feel very close to home. Almost like a warning. Charlie Kirk…rest in peace ❤️ 🙏

More debris from the North sea collision has washed in and has been collected by Paul at National coastwatch Mablethorpe. Several reports over the last few days. The collision was back in March. #LincsConnect

Please East Lindsey District Council East Lindsey - people like Sutton On Sea Beachcare do a fantastic job keeping our beaches clean but unscrupulous dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs poo on the promenade at Winthorpe turns a walk into a slalom. You do THIS at Chapel - can’t we have the same?

The ‘Services Rendered’ boards at the station of Skegness RNLI Lifeboat Station - It is interesting to see how the emphasis shifted to saving crew and aircraft between 1940 - 1944 - a clear indication of the casualties of war… #WWII #lifeboat #EyesAlongTheCoast

Almost 5 years ago, a concerted effort was made to restore the sea defences at Winthorpe - they are still holding up, and the amount of sand they shifted was phenomenal…

A ‘fairly’ early look at the delights that used to be found at Butlin's #Skegness … “Tonight, there will be a dancing demonstration in the Hawaiian Ballroom”! #lovelincscoast #lovetheseaside #butlins #LincsConnect

Detractors (often without a visit) are critical of #Skegness - the nearest analogy is that of Skoda cars - once ridiculed, now highly rated “May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Skegness window? Herds of Wildebeest sweeping majestically across the Serengeti?”

A couple of views of the ‘old’ and new(er) National Coastwatch Institution Coastwatch station in Skegness - the old site is now a cafe called ‘The View’ while NCI Skegness moved 100 metres away to a purpose made unit in 2017... #Skegness #seaside #safety #RNLI #lovelincscoast #eyesalongthecoast

Built in 1770, the Vine Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Skegness, and was once frequented by Alfred Lord Tennyson who wrote ‘Come into the Garden, Maud’ there. In the garden to the rear of the hotel is ‘Tennyson’s Tree’, which was eventually lost to Dutch Elm disease…

Skegness Pier was built in 1881 and was 1844ft long. Boat trips to Norfolk became one of the attractions. A storm in Jan 1978 sent the centre section crashing into the sea, and only the section attached to shore remains but Skegness Pier could change all of that… #Skegness

Long shot but 🤞 fingers crossed. We found this near #Cleethorpes seafront yesterday (Sunday 8th Feb), it is an ashes necklace, and will mean the world to someone. Please share if you know anyone who owns an ashes necklace, in case it's theirs. TIA. #ashesnecklace sharing #Grief
