“I don’t support prioritising economic growth over peoples lives. And it seems like the Government is quite happy to put the lives of children at risk to get people to where they are going faster. It’s just shocking. […] Cr Josephine Bartley

No matter how my day is going, biking with my 4-year old back from her school makes it all better. My girls are the reason I fight so hard for safer streets. This should be normal. It can be with the right infrastructure.

⏰ A reminder to have your say on the #speedrule by midnight tonight if you haven’t already. Many prominent organisations and individuals are speaking out against the Speed Rule. Here are some of them: - Auckland Council - The road safety group Brake (cont)

Hey Aucklanders. We have a lost puppy that has been handed into the clinic. Around four months old. Newfoundland. Please retweet and help me find the owner.

It's funny how we marvel at giant bike-parking facilities in cities like Amsterdam, but forget there used to be lots of those places in New Zealand. (Burnside High, Christchurch, 1986)

93% of NZ garages are carpeted, filled with storage, kids’ toys, gym equipment and assorted household bits. “Everything except for the car. Where do you park the car?” Duh - on the street/public property of course 😠 #PrivateCarStorage nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/ikea…

Gotta love the irony of the company name 🙃 "Access Problems" is more appropriate 🤣 Plus usual rudeness from the driver "I can park where I like!" "It's only for 5 mins" "Who are you to tell me what to do" "where am I supposed to park"😣

The Ghost Bike Art Installation in Auckland’s city centre draws attention to the deaths and serious injuries that will be the result of reversing the safer speeds laws (increasing roads to 50km/h in many areas where reduced to 30km/h for safety reasons) 😭 #saferspeeds

I haven’t seen negative worldwide headlines about haka. I have seen negative headlines about our Govt’s climate denial policies, cancelling our world leading smokefree policy, dangerous policies on road safety that are against international best practice & will kill more people
