Hey NYPD 1st Precinct, why do you keep closing my New York City 311 reports for this BMW with fake Georgia temp tags saying the vehicle is gone when I can still see it outside and it's parked there every day?

If the goal is to "remove as many cars as possible from the terminal frontages during peak construction," just make the damn AirTrain free end-to-end and charge cars for entry to the airport roadways. This is not rocket science.

New York City is great today because a century ago, visionaries had the foresight to build infrastructure to what was then farmland in Queens. We need leaders like that now to build projects like the IBX, Utica Ave. Subway, and N/W extension to LGA.

Streetsblog's Gersh Kuntzman was there as the congestion pricing cameras turned on at 12:00:01 a.m. and interviewed the FIRST driver to pay the toll. WCBS Assignment Desk's Marcia Kramer should take note of what this driver had to say:

Swarms of people come out of New York City’s subways every day. The subway carries 3.6 million people a day and buses carry another 1.4 million. There are only ~100K daily drivers into Manhattan. Cars are giant, expensive space hogs.

After 12 days of decongestion pricing, NYC saw a 51% drop in people getting hurt from car crashes. But full disclosure, there was a 10,000% spike in hurt feelings on social media. 😢

Musk called DOGE “maximally transparent,” but it has refused to release info about its spending and operations — including the names of its employees. ProPublica has identified 46 of them, including 12 new names we are adding to the list today. propublica.org/article/doge-t…
