Today's breweriana comes under the heading "Things I didn't know I had". A spirited defence of hazy beer by Marble Brewery Not dated, but I'm guessing around Year 2000. Happy to be corrected.

#tbt

Am I the only one who can't see past the picture and is like NOOOOOO drop your hand lower down the glass. 'This half is for you... this half is for the customer'. Clearly truly beaten into my head.

After this is all over and we're free to travel again, I'd love to drink a pint of my favourite #beer in a pub/bar with an amazing view. Any suggestions?? #views

Correct! The water for Rochefort is way more important than some multinational digging stuff out of the ground. theguardian.com/world/2021/may… But The Guardian no stock picture from Rochefort then? Rochefort > Westvleteren BTW don't @ me!

Industrial units or other 'reclaimed' areas frequently have a more relaxed social atmosphere from their more self-organised nature. They can feel more like a proper local with the associated camaraderie than your modern identikit regulated pub or bar.

Today's brewers have hundreds of yeast strains at their disposal, some stay loyal to their own house strains. In his new Critical Drinking piece, Neil Walker looks at some of the U.K.’s most celebrated house yeasts, and the breweries they’ve shaped. bit.ly/3OghZ20
