Dean Phillips is on a pontoon boat right now, getting absolutely rocked on UV Vodka martinis, repeating the Heinlein quote about how "Being right too soon is socially unacceptable."

St. Paul applied for federal funding that doesn't cover fire trucks for their purchase of a $1.8 million electric rig. Unsurprisingly, they didn't get it. Also, the truck salesman has taken the fire chief to Wild games 'as a friend' minnesotareformer.com/2024/08/20/st-… via Minnesota Reformer

St. Paul is going to spend $100,000 trying to figure out if its new rent control ordinance is behind a slump in new construction. Hopefully, they can get to the bottom of this mystery.
