With their Round 5 choice of the MLB Draft, the #STLCards selected East Carolina University RHP Ethan Young with the No. 150 overall pick. A former third baseman, Young was 5-0 with three saves for the Pirates in 2025. He struck out 92 batters in 70 1/3 innings.
