Today we will invest in Britain's renewal. Invest in our security, our health and our economy. Invest to make you and your family better off.

Over the next 3 yrs, Labour will provide an extra £9.1BN for Scottish public services - overall the settlement for Scottish Gvt is the largest in real terms since devolution began. The Scottish Gvt must invest it in our NHS, police, housing & schools.

It’s right that the Government is acting to sanction Ben-Gvir & Smotrich for their appalling comments on Gaza. Their words aren’t just disgraceful, they are dangerous. Food should never be used as a weapon of war & we need to get aid into Gaza as a matter of urgency.

14yrs of the Tories & 18yrs of the SNP have left many high streets in desperate need of investment. The Spending Review brings the total UK Labour Gvt direct investment in Scottish local growth funding to almost £1.7bn. Paisley deserves a slice of that pie.

The scenes emerging of a London-bound plane carrying many British nationals crashing in the Indian city of Ahmedabad are devastating. I am being kept updated as the situation develops, and my thoughts are with the passengers and their families at this deeply distressing time.

Just the Chief Minister of Gibraltar having to spend his day fact checking the British Press and Tory MPs who are determined to lie about the Gibraltar deal. 🙄🙄🙄

Instead of focusing on the NHS the Cabinet Secretary is using government resources to go to the pub and then on to the football. These people are not serious. Time for change. Time for a new direction with Scottish Labour

Yesterday, in the debate on the 5th anniversary of the Covid pandemic, I raised the plight of the 1 million + immunocompromised people for whom Covid remains a real threat. We must do more to support them.

Thank you, Darren - you are welcome any time! From the supercomputer, to more defence spending, and Project Acorn, you have helped deliver some huge investments for Scotland and put an extra £9.1bn into Scottish public services. This is the difference Labour makes.

Why does the Spending Review matter to Scotland? It sets out a plan to invest in the future across a wide range of key projects and initiatives - including local economic growth and an additional £9.1 billion to support public services in Scotland. gov.uk/government/new…

The SNP like to wave Ukrainian flags and talk the language of support but when it comes to real support they attach conditions on medical aid for a country fighting for its very existence. The SNP must lift this restriction immediately. thetimes.com/article/48f36a…

Nine years ago today, on 16 June 2016, Jo Cox was murdered while on her way to a surgery in her constituency of Batley and Spen. Jo’s murder was an immeasurable tragedy for her family and friends, but also for British democracy. (1/7)

9years ago today Jo was murdered. I think about her every single day and am lucky to have so many wonderful memories, but the pain never goes. Whatever our views we must never normalise abuse, threats, intimidation and political violence #JoCox #Sisters #MoreInCommon

It was great to see Johanna Baxter MP raising the rate of Statutory Sick Pay with Alison McGovern MP, Minister for Employment in Parliament last week. "As a Department we are looking at it very closely and I'm sure Parliament will discuss the issue ... over the years to come"

As a 15yo mum, I was told what happened was my fault. Kemi Badenoch had power, yet did not meet one victim, or speak about grooming once. I do not know how she dares try & score points now. Thank god we have a gov that is taking violence against women & girls seriously.
