If you need to render a latlong map with Karma, you can create a vr lens shader in a shopnet and use that in Solaris. #Houdini

Today was the first time I used the walrus operator := in python. I haven’t found a use for it before, but today I was doing some regex and it really came in handy. 👍

If you have a nested widget and want an emitted signal to reach the "grand parent" widget you can connect signals to signals. (instead of connecting to a slot and then emit again) #PySide #Qt I wrote a short example here: petfactory.se/notes/pyside2-…

If you want to edit an Unreal level using Python externally, from lets say Houdini :), you can use remote_execution. I wrote a little snippet here if you are interested :) petfactory.se/notes/ue5-pyth… #Houdini #UnrealEngine

Rendered in Unreal Engine using the path tracer. I am currently exploring the workflow of using a shot setup in the sequencer... Compared to the traditional offline workflow it feels almost like magic Music: Transition by Six Umbrella #houdini #UnrealEngine5

Houdini & Unreal. The vehicle and cameras were animated in Houdini. The Dust sim was also done in Houdini using Axiom. petfactory.se Model: 65 Ford Mustang Fastback by Luis Lara Music: Highland Princess by Six Umbrellas, Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License

.Theory Accelerated It seems like the y & z components of vel and influenceVel fields are switched? (if I set velocity to {0,1,0} it will go in the positive z axis) I am using Axiom 3.3 for Houdini 20.5.332

If you are writing python in unreal you might have noticed that pprint is not that nice to use. If you want to inspect a dict you can use json: print(json.dumps(my_dict, indent=4))
