Today myself and other officers from across the Russell Group wrote to them to express our concerns over the No Detriment Policy statement they released week. We will keep fighting to ensure that students are treated fairly and we look forward to their reply #ForgottenStudents

Really reassuring to hear this call to the government from the Conservative back benches. Sally-Ann Hart is right, the #ForgottenStudents have not had the experience they deserve and we need action.

people in HE have long complained about government's meddling, or neglect, and rightly about some of the worst policy decisions that have been made. But this casual malevolence of ministers is completely unprecedented. HE leaders need to start loudly & publicly pushing back.

One of the things I spend a good portion of my week doing is working with awesome people who spend their time making student life better. It's been a pretty tough year to be in those roles, but I thought I'd cheer myself and you up with some day to day examples. #LoveSUs

Despite everything, our amazing student volunteers delivered over 6000 hrs of volunteering in the community from July-Dec. From primary school sports and action tutoring, to supporting charities with digital skills, they've been making invaluable impact. #LoveSUs

The SU was the reason I stayed at uni. Running for President was always my way of saying thanks. It was the societies I loved and trips where I met my best friends; my first chance to play netball for years; where I felt valued; always the meeting spot between lectures #LoveSUs
