Evening of Day 3: Guanches GeoTenerife Summer Programme had an amazing presentation on the indigenous people of #Tenerife, the Guanches. This amazing civilisation used whistle language to communicate, a skill that is now once again being taught to the local children. #indigenouslanguages

Excited to share our new paper on the 2021 #LaPalmaEruption just out in Science Advances !! We analyse #volcanic matrix (melt) via #laser to track elemental & Sr isotope changes throughout the #eruption, which link to monitoring signs & eruption style🌋💈 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Back on Tenerife with GeoTenerife GeoTenerife Summer Programme to continue our work on the eruptive history of Las Cañadas caldera. Training today at one of the best outcrops on the island

A fantastic week with Richard James Brown and Group A of GeoTenerife Summer Programme mapping pumice fall deposits across the #BandasdelSur of Southern #Tenerife. We made some awesome discoveries and had a great time. A fantastic group of #scientists I’d gladly work with in the future.
