Awful reports that at least six children are among those who have drowned in the Channel. This is another heartbreaking reminder that there need to be safe, legal and accessible pathways for children to seek protection and reunite with family members.

12 people have died in the Channel; 6 were children. As we mourn them, we hope that yet another tragedy, in addition to anti-trafficking measures, accelerates long term responses: safe pathways, cooperation among states, more aid upstream to stabilize flows, conflict resolution.

It's good Adre is open for movement, but it is not the solution to contain famine. We need Adre, Tine any border crossing that can get us to people in need. We need cross line movements, including humanitarian pauses to let us thru. People. Are. Dying. Enough!

Horrifying reports of at least 8 children killed or injured in an attack in #Lviv, which also reportedly damaged schools. Our condolences to their families. Indiscriminate attacks impacting children and their schools have marred the start of the new school year.

"While in #Gaza.. I walked through markets and neighborhoods – or what is left of them. I listened to the struggles of mothers and fathers to feed their children. And there is no doubt in my mind that the risk of famine and a large-scale severe nutrition crisis in Gaza is real.”
