The confusion arises from fabricated history & a culture of unchecked Plagiarism prevalent until recently. Calculus was invented between 500-1500CE by the 'Aryabhata school' of Astronomers. Newton & Leibniz both learned it through Jesuit Colleges(Stefano Degli & Vincenzo Viviani)
