Never paid to publish. That's why I was gladly surprise to see our paper is also free science now! #IamUWC #SouthAfrica #nuclearphysics #astronomy academic.oup.com/mnras/article/…

Unlike ground states, first excitations of light nuclei follow the straight trend predicted by Migdal in 1945 - using both the hydrodynamic model and non-degenerate perturbation theory - as supported experimentally by yours truly in 2015. Only @ JPG lnkd.in/dQcBHup2

Glad to see we're doing well: 173 downloads in just a week and #1 among those papers with similar age. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108… #IamUWC #SouthAfrica #NuclearPhysics

Triaxial shapes of atomic nuclei are often invoked to explain elusive nuclear collective phenomena. Here, Elena Lawrie and I propose a simple way forward to determine triaxiality from ratios of typically known electric-quadrupole matrix elements @ sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

The intricate relationship behind the creation of heavy elements is rooted in quantum mechanics, where each wave function has a unique random phase or sign, underscoring the inherent complexity and beauty of universal processes. 🌌🔬#IamUWC iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…
