As we start E-Learning day 3, I have to shout out my students! You all have impressed me with the quality of work you are producing in this learning mode. None of us like this. We’d all rather be interacting with students in class, but you all have exceeded my expectations!

In these difficult times, I hope you are all finding some silver linings. More time with family is a big one here. Movie night tonight=Space Jam!

Just finished my 3rd of 5 zoom meetings with my students. I can’t stress enough how great it was to actually “see” my students. We all know how important relationships are. This lack of connection has really been a struggle! We will continue to make the best of this new normal!

I know this school year is going to look different, but it felt great going in and organizing my classroom today. I’ve been a traveling teacher last two years, and loved it, but excited to have a room again! Plus Ellysa Cassier left me a lot of her decorations...I hate decorating!

I don’t typically do NY Resolutions. Two years ago I wanted to tweet more. 😂 how did that go? Last year I wanted to run 1K miles-Got it! This year, I’d like to continue my current running streak of 58 days and always be reading something. I highly recommend my current read!

Book number 2 for 2021. I can’t recommend my first book, Caste, highly enough. Right now, I’m just going off a NY Times list of 2020 books. If anyone has some must read suggestions, send them my way!

Book #3 of 2021. I’ve always been fascinated with the life of Malcolm X since a research project I did in high school. A portrait of Malcolm X created from 28 years of investigative reporting by Les Payne and finished by his daughter.

Well done ladies!!!!!! Could not be prouder of all you did this year. Way to leave it all on the field! 3rd in Class 4A State, not too bad.

Today was an incredibly inspiring day Bryce Canyon National Park this whole trip has left me in awe of our country and the beauty and enormity of it all! Thankful I could provide my boys a glimpse of it!

Well…the reading goal was somewhat accomplished! I read more but not enough. I close out 2021 with a consecutive run streak of at least a mile a day at 417 straight days. One of my proudest accomplishments this year! Cheers to 2022!
