Headmistress, Mrs Jessica Miles, has planted a beautiful tree this morning to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Monmouth School for Girls. Mrs Miles planted a Rowan Mountain Ash, which grows berries and will help feed the birds, in a garden area created by the estates team.

A Physics teacher has received a top regional STEM award. Dr Dan Jones, Head of Physics Monmouth Boys, won the STEM Learning Teaching Award for Excellence in STEM Teaching – Secondary category. He was presented with his honour by Professor Sir Martin Evans, a Nobel Prize winner.

Eye-catching artwork from pupils at Monmouth School for Boys will be on display next week. The GCSE end-of-year Art Exhibition is being held in the Art & Design Department on Tuesday 7th June between 5pm and 7pm.

Tonight’s Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools Higher Education Gap Year and Careers Convention was buzzing with students, parents, staff and exhibitors. It was wonderful to see so many young people from Years 9 to 13 at the event, held at Monmouth Schools Sports Club.

Girls and boys Haberdashers' Monmouth Prep School have sparkled with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs in their joyous production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical JR. It has been a spectacular example of cross-schools co-operation and the musical concludes tonight from 6pm.
