From videos denying climate change is real, to spreading lies about forest fires – YouTube continues to allow this content to be monetized, despite promising otherwise. Brands like Lyft, calvinklein, UNICEF, Jeep, Panasonic appear alongside this content.

Researchers found other big brands' ads next to videos peddling conspiracy theories that foreign governments are lying about Amazon deforestation in order to secure access to resources there, and are setting fire to the rainforest to boost fundraising efforts.

While prominent climate deniers get millions of views, no brand is safe from being served alongside them. Even Friends of the Earth ads appeared next to a far-right channel denying that wildfire-induced air pollution and other extreme weather events are a result of climate change.
