Circumcoronenes were finally synthesized by solution-phase chemistry and isolated in single crystal form! Again, acid-mediated cyclization of vinyl ethers or alkynes works. Paper was just published in Angewandte Chemie as a VIP paper: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
