This has always been one of my favorite Pi Day comics. I also like thinking about failures as “approximations of success.” Happy Pi Approximation Day!!

I hated assigning homework. I hated grading homework. I hated *trying* to collect homework. I hated faking like I cared about homework when I honestly didn’t. I hated homework.

When I ask kids what their parents' expectations are for grades, they can recite chapter and verse. When I ask kids what their parents' expectations are for kindness, I get a black stare. Make kindness a family goal this school year.

Question to ask ourselves: What paradigm shifts do I need to embrace that technology now allows for better pedagogy for learning? What will students CREATE rather than consume?
