Capt Blackadder: Just one tiny flaw in the plan.
Lt George: Oh, what was that?
Capt Blackadder: It was bollocks.
Being British. Now there isn't even a plan....

Important that people understand that suicide is not always a choice. When it's an act of compulsion caused by an adverse reaction to psychiatric drugs, it more closely resembles murder than suicide. Investigation is long overdue.

The harmed patient community has been advocating for informed consent & SSRI-induced iatrogenesis for over 40 years. Dr. Eric Osgood learns the hard way just how many patients are being injured by SSRIs. Instead of listening, Dr. Osgood proceeds to label them "Scientologists"

This is similar to saying (perhaps in the 1970s): ‘although a lot of people seem to get very similar symptoms after long term smoking, there are lots of reasons why cancers occur including asbestos, stress and genetics. We should be multi-factorial in our assessment.’ (1/3)

It is interesting that a celebrated apologist for the institution that has overseen the medical overreach in question which has cost lives and has publicly refused to acknowledge it (recent APA tweet) now chooses to stake out the moral high ground on imperfect bedfellows

I often wonder how many defense mechanisms mainstream psychiatrists must have in place to keep them from seeing what their profession has been doing to patients.

If anyone wants to understand DARVO (deny, attack, reverse victim and offender), this thread is an absolute classic. This should be used in illustrating the technique to psychology students. Unfortunately for 'Rupert' he met the immovable object. 😅

Wow. The cage has been well and truly rattled. I should have suspected that the anti harmed patient folk would stoop this low, but I didn't account for their total lack of boundaries or decorum.

What is it with all the projection going on right now? It's the same in the mental health arena. Create a problem, then pretend it's absolutely nothing to do with you. Do they think we're stupid?

The biggest mistake psychiatry has made in recent decades is assuming that people are stupid, and that they'll swallow any story whole. This is one such story and no one's buying it.

1/3: Two things just out today (links below). Personally, having had akathisia from trying to stop paroxetine and entering into withdrawal, I think the "exploding" in The Independent headline is a very apt word. That's the level of bodily agitation I had- like I was being

I'm sure Professor Howard has been very nice to all of you, but many of us can tell a different story. Do you not think Sam could have a break now from being harassed? After all, he was simply calling out some very odd and unprofessional behaviour, which he has every right to do.
