The Government should be clear that this kind of sectarian electoral blackmail must be rejected. If your primary concern when voting is Punjabi politics, then you should go and live there. theguardian.com/world/2025/jun…

Must say that I agree with Mr P on this Robinson's advert - if anything we need more parents supporting proper discipline in schools. The idea it's "real love" to LOL about whatever your kid's done once you get them home isn't helpful.

Impressively, this selfish oaf even trots out the idea that because there’s a quiet carriage, every other carriage is open season for people too lazy to use headphones to make whatever racket they like:

The worst thing about this is that his absolutely self-righteous outrage at being asked to follow basic good manners suggests that everyone else he knows behaves this way too. It hasn’t occurred to him why it might even be an unreasonable way to behave.

I know plenty of gay guys find meaning in Pride Month, doesn't do anything for me (each to his own etc) but I swear a good chunk of what drives it is well-meaning (and wanting to be seen as well-meaning in some cases) straight people keen to get be 'allies'.

God help me but my friends and I started watching Virgin Island. The 'therapists' who 'do stuff' with the people about 20 years younger than them and tell them to just act on impulse and be ok acting intimately in front of each other interchangeably.. feels a bit NXIVM cult-like.

As I think Stakeholder Consultant once tweeted re: the so-called "cab-rank rule": I wouldn't condemn a cleaner who unwittingly disposed of evidence in a murder case: but if his clients were majority serial killers and his slogan was "cleaning solutions for discreet gentlemen" one might wonder

Making London more expensive for tourists will help cement London’s reputation as a global tourism and business destination? When I was in Japan plenty of people said they’d love to come but it’s too expensive as it is!

The UK government said publicly after signing the ‘deal’ with Trump last month: “The UK steel industry will no longer face tariffs thanks to today’s deal. The Prime Minister negotiated the 25% tariff down to zero.” It appears tonight that Trump has reneged on the agreement
