Sanction-less schools I'm guessing can go like this: 1. Student does something wrong 2. Teacher asks them not to 3. Student continues through the lesson 4. End of lesson teacher has 'restorative chat' 5. Student nods and says sorry Repeat next lesson BUT replace 4. with SLT

Todays incident is the extremely sad & worrying but unfortunately not unexpected. In a society and system where students do not fear or worry about consequences, are often backed by parents, where the staff are not fully supported, a major incident was always likely to happen

Rishi Sunak Conservatives Wait sorry let me get this straight, as MPs you are happy to match inflation rates for your salaries over the years, and not worried about our tax payments and inflation... but for the actual hard workers of this country those expectations are too much?! 24 hours later recommending accepting 6.5% not fully funded. Absolute joke. We’ve been on strike fighting for above inflation fully funded, todays offer is not that. Not even close

NEU even change their wording. Previous 4.5% offer NOT FULLY FUNDED. This offer WITH EXTRA MONEY FOR SCHOOLS TO PAY FOR IT. Tomato 🍅

If a teacher sends a student out because a) it’s part of policy and b) they’ve exhausted said policy. Then don’t bring the student back in after a 10 minute cosy chat saying ‘X is ready to return now’ and they blatantly aren’t ready. Don’t repeat this 10 times a week.

Exam marking taking a while this year. Pay isn’t great either, I’m sure it was more lucrative in the past 🤯

Astonished by the cash being spent on getting kids into school. One school spends £70k a year on transport to collect children from home, another school spent £30k on taxis to get pupils to the school gates. These were mainstream secondary schools. Broken record time - But can
