You know what won't help with the social care bill councils are inexplicably forced to pay for? Selling off spaces which keep older people active and socially connected with their neighbours. Just hugely short term thinking

How lovely Angela. Unfortunately some people don't have gardens and rely on allotments to enjoy such things...which you now want to sell off.

As a very keen allotment holder I will fight this nonsensical The Labour Party policy with a fury!! Allotments keep us mentally and physically healthy, give us fresh food, inspire us to give our produce away in a gift culture, and are a haven for many ecosystems.

Why are we commemorating Hiroshima’s 80th anniversary with new nuclear weapons? And why is the Govt backing a glossy PR campaign to persuade us we need nukes whilst also trying to block inquiry into the impacts of nuclear war? Very sad to see Labour govt flogging off allotment sites. Allotments provide sustainable, healthy food, encourage exercise and community spirit, & are rich in biodiversity. 10,000 people are on waiting lists to get one! Idiotic. We need more, not fewer! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Not a single new reservoir built in England for 30 years. ❌ 3 billion litres of water lost from leaking pipes every day. ❌ What's the private water sector's solution? Hosepipe bans and ruining rare river ecosystems. 🤯 We need public ownership now.

"A nationally significant water shortfall is gripping England". You'd never believe water companies have had 35 years to plan for this but then again there's always been a plan, the one that was cheapest for WCs, drain ever river in the country dry, and now they're running out
