More genocidal rhetoric on Russian state TV: hosts and pundits repeatedly assert that Ukraine no longer exists, Ukrainians who refuse to see themselves as Russians and fight back against the invasion are described as Nazis and compared to insects (bugs, worms). Here's an example:

As a left-liberal it’s incidents like this that make me ashamed and distrustful of my own side. Diversity of thought is what makes ideas stronger.

When 2 groups of penguins meet on the road, they stop for a short exchange of information. When one of them moves in with the wrong group, a friend goes after him to bring him back🙂🐧🐧🐧

Cool. No sense of right-of-way or controlled crossings. Cars, horses, streetcars, bikes & people mingle in the street. Instead of crossing briskly, people amble -- stand there, change direction, walk diagonally... Also, no notion that drivers own the road more than other users.

I had Britannicas as a kid. Latest ones were kind of pricey so my dad got a 1935 set from the Children's Hospital used book fair and a bunch of yearbooks to fill in the gaps. Had lots of fun with entries like "WWI was awful and we must prevent its like from ever happening again."

I love this clip not for any political reasons but because it's humanity affirming. Interviewer laughs at the irony and teases Izzy but like a parent would, not a sworn enemy. Grace is our ticket to a better future. Treat everyone you meet like family and we'll be alright.

What do you make of this clip? To me, it says that whatever we do to make things better, there are always going to be flies in the ointment.
