Whatever you do in life, consider this. This speaks to me, it humbles me and it inspires me. I bet the housekeeper doesn't know the impact this has but so many people commented today. #respect

The ambulance crisis hasn’t been caused by the heatwave, although it may have exacerbated it. The ambulance crisis is the result of chronic workforce shortages in social care and across the NHS which means patients can’t be discharged home or access services to avoid admission.

Those of you who moved to another country as an adult and stayed there, do you also feel like you don't belong anywhere? You're still foreign to your adopted home and a stranger in your home country?

Sad day reading about working conditions in the NHS. No one should be sitting on a bin, not have space for a break or venture miles away for a coffee. Change can’t always happen quickly but let’s start asking staff what they need so we can at least start. 💙

Barts clearly have their priorities wrong and whoever posted that video is astonishingly naive. But dismissing non-clinical staff as beneath us is exactly the sort of medical supremacy that will tank any IA. We’re on the same side. Get your enemy right, I’m begging you. (3/3)

Nurses are faced with decisions everyday about efficiency and the care and attention they want to give to patients. Their vocation is admirable but why would anyone want to do a job where you get almost no benefits? Doing good doesn’t pay enough to dedicate your life to it.

This just makes it look like they’re stropping, like spoiled children. Nurses are fighting for fair working conditions. Do we want to have enough nurses to look after us, in a tax funded, free at point of use healthcare system? Respect them and pay them.

Big rise in absences due to mental health - unsurprisingly. It is being driven to do more and more with less staff and it is just burning people out. BBC News - NHS staff sickness hits record high in England bbc.co.uk/news/health-66…
