One of my motivations for writing "The Awakened Ape" was seeing that hardcore meditators were neglecting the other aspects of life that contribute to health and happiness. That's why 2/3 of the book is non-meditation related. Meditate yes, but you are still an animal.

Wild game, such as deer and boar have high amounts of PUFA (22-25%) of fat calories. Our farmed meats have largely been bred to have higher amounts of fats and saturated fats than game meat. Not ancestrally consistent. Eat wild game, or lean grass fed varieties.
