A CBC News investigation has uncovered long wait times when calling 911 in Toronto. Internal documents show people sometimes wait on hold for longer than two minutes before their call is answered. As Angelina King explains, a 911 operator is now the one calling for help.

Internal documents we obtained show how long people wait on hold to speak with a 911 operator in Toronto. The average wait time is 25 seconds, while the average longest wait time is 4 minutes and 16 seconds. The longest? 10 minutes and 2 seconds.
