Every worker in #Ontario should be terrified of this message being sent to the corporate sector. Doug Ford & Stephen Lecce have just told every employer in the province that 1.25% is a reasonable “raise”. It’s not reasonable, it’s appalling. #onpoli

It's pretty sick to watch Stephen Lecce get on TV and "mansplain" to majority female education workers, with a smirk, why it's "fair" and "reasonable" for them to accept a 1.25% increase during 40 year high 8.1% inflation. Maybe I'm missing something. #OntEd #onpoli #CUPE

If CUPE Ontario is pushed to the brink and strikes, ALL education unions must join them! This is a do or die moment for public education, and solidarity between ed workers, parents and students is all that can fight back Doug Ford's anti-#OntEd agenda. There is no other way!

CUPE's education workers are asking for a $3.25/hr raise. That would get them back to where their incomes were ten years ago. Stephen Lecce & Doug Ford's offer would result in their incomes being 20% below their 2012 incomes. Which offer is fair? OSBCU-CSCSO

Hey Stephen Lecce, have you seen what is happening in Nova Scotia? ECEs are going to receive wage increases ranging between 14 and 43%! Given the fact that the cost of living is much higher here in Ontario, it's time you pony up and give #onted #cupe members the raise they deserve!

ON isn't broke! $2.1 B surplus, $3 B yearly forgone carbon tax, $1 B HWY 407 penalty waived, $1 B + yearly loss from plate stickers, $4.4 B simply lost, unaccounted for. Parental education bribes. There's more than enough money to give #onted #cupe members a cola raise!

1) Okay, so the Ontario Gov't just announced parents would get $250 per kid to "enhance learning". Let's look at one example of what that money could do if it was directed to schools instead of used as a political bribe to parents.
