It's pretty sick to watch Stephen Lecce get on TV and "mansplain" to majority female education workers, with a smirk, why it's "fair" and "reasonable" for them to accept a 1.25% increase during 40 year high 8.1% inflation. Maybe I'm missing something. #OntEd #onpoli #CUPE
EDUCATORS: We hear you're already 'done' only weeks into the fall. We hear some of your schools are missing 25% of staff and students. We hear your budgets are cut yet again. We HEAR YOU! Does Stephen Lecce ?
CUPE's education workers are asking for a $3.25/hr raise. That would get them back to where their incomes were ten years ago. Stephen Lecce & Doug Ford's offer would result in their incomes being 20% below their 2012 incomes. Which offer is fair? OSBCU-CSCSO
Hey Stephen Lecce, have you seen what is happening in Nova Scotia? ECEs are going to receive wage increases ranging between 14 and 43%! Given the fact that the cost of living is much higher here in Ontario, it's time you pony up and give #onted #cupe members the raise they deserve!
Education workers need fair wages now! Here are just some of the many ONA members showing their solidarity with CUPEONtario & OSBCU-CSCSO education workers. To show your support, sign the petition: 39000isnotenough.ca #39KisNOTenough #OnPoli
Richard Southern Did some math this morning on behalf of my CUPE colleagues! Minimum wage has increased 40% since June 1st, 2014 Their wages have increased 8.5% since 2012 They’re asking for 28.3% less than the minimum wage increase during that time and are losing their human rights 🤯
If you are on a picket line this AM, you are worth your weight in gold. You are valued & needed & a vital part of the edu of special needs kids. My family’s life ‘works’ because you chose the career you did. Stephen Lecce you are so far removed from reality, it hurts. CUPE Ontario
