Wisconsin's offense opens the season with a 16-play drive that brought a three-running back set, a fourth-down conversion, four first downs ... and a missed field goal. Badgers couldn't finish it out.

Chez Mellusi is running hard tonight, breaking tackles down the field. He scores on a 9-yard touchdown run. Much better second drive for the Badgers. Wisconsin 7, Western Michigan 0.

Quite a response by Western Michigan. Running back Jalen Buckley, the MAC freshman of the year last season, punches it in on fourth-and-goal from the 1. Wisconsin 7, Western Michigan 7. We've seen three 16-play drives tonight from both teams.

That was one hell of a fake field goal by Western Michigan. Holder flipped the ball behind him and the kicker picked up 26 yards rushing. Got a good block out in front, too. Western Michigan will open 4th quarter at the Wisconsin 4-yard line with chance to take the lead.
