I think about this often. I’ve taught, worked in the Senate, been in full-time PhD program, and am now back in a classroom. One thing that stands out: a lot of talk and decisions happen while teachers are *working*. Getting time off is hard. Time off affects schools, classrooms…

Did any of these people ever teach? In a K12 school? For more than a few months?
