On Feb. 25, 1953, ‘Wonderful Town’ opened at the Winter Garden Theatre, with uncredited show-doctoring by Jerome Robbins. The musical shared the adventures of two sisters who moved from Ohio to the bohemia of 1935 Greenwich Village. The show won 5 Tony Awards, incl. Best Musical.

On March 3rd, in 1994, A Suite Of Dances, choreographed by Jerome Robbins, premiered at White Oak Dance Project. The ballet, a solo tribute to dance and music for one dancer (originally Mikhail Baryshnikov), is set to four movements from Bach’s Six Unaccompanied Cello Suites.
