Incredibly thankful & inspired by those who turned out tonight for the Rental Guidelines Board public hearing. Tenants, community organizations, and elected officials fight together. ❤️ #HousingIsAHumanRight & a community effort. Thank you ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽

Amazed by the tenants who came out tonight and thankful for everyone who showed up to support. Even the landlords started sounding sheepish trying to compare their hardships to the REAL struggles that renters are facing.

Here is a reminder that the Rental Guidelines Board is having a deliberation vote 🗳 tomorrow to determine if and how much to raise rent... if you live anywhere in NY, you know #TheRentIsTooDamnHigh!! Turn out at your regional hearings and tell your RGB #HousingIsAHumanRight

The 6/13 Public hearing on housing was another evening show that starred BIGOTRY, IGNORANCE, RACISM, CLASSISM, HOMOPHOBIA, and featured, the one and only, HATE. Many of the comments made stemmed from misinformation they received from a terrible game of Telephone.

BREAKING: Hochul is flopping over in the face of Republican and “not in my backyard” opposition to offshore wind. These wind projects are the core of New York’s shot at a clean electric grid and thousands of good, union jobs. It is game over without them. This is insane.

Conservatives can fearmonger about anything--even offshore wind energy. Just in case you thought it too stupid to be effective, big money misinformation campaigns have scared off Long Beach politicians... and now Gov. Hochul.

As an alumna, graduate of Hofstra's Honors College, & recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, I beg to differ. Advocating NOT TO BOMB civilians (largely children) indiscriminately is not "Misguided" You, however? You're policing Free Speech & selling us out for a casino 🎰

This extreme escalation is an egregious violation of first amendment rights. Now is the moment for everyone to speak out and oppose this as fiercely and loudly as possible.
