Am struck by the headlines about slimming / toning for a new year amongst the atrocity. I know physical fitness is vital, and it’s one of my greatest values & enjoyments. But the chatter, worry, comparison, shaming about it. Will it ever end? Clearly not if still ‘relevant’ now.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Andrew Greenwood. He wore his knowledge and musicianship lightly but imparted it sympathetically to many singers at a crucial stage in their career. A generous colleague and a kind and unassuming man who will be much missed.

Our NHS staff deserve more than applause and 1% is not enough. Scottish Government is offering a 4% pay rise, which would deliver guaranteed minimum increase of £1000 for those earning less than £25,000 & 5.4% increase for staff on lowest pay band...and all backdated to December 2020.
