I have a high school junior. I am simultaneously scared that he won’t get into college next year and won’t get to go away and that he will go to college and leave me behind, hobbled by missing him so intensely.

Said high school junior* inexplicably left a Hot Wheels car in his jeans pocket. I kept hearing this awful noise from the dryer. Mystery solved. (*Yeah, I don’t know why he has a Hot Wheels car in his pocket at his age either.)
