My previous column, "Seven things organisations should be doing to combat racism," left too many things unsaid. So Nwando Olayiwola and I wrote the sequel, "Seven MORE things organisations should be doing to combat racism":

The thing about vaccines is that, because they are preventative measures given to people without disease, it’s not really possible to know if benefits > risks without testing them on large numbers of people; i.e., doing proper phase 3 clinical trials.

Perhaps the single most important step that we can each take right now to reduce the spread of #COVID19 is to increase the use of face masks. Please help us share this critical message with our patients, loved ones, neighbors and community. University of Utah Health bit.ly/2G3qIXq

New paper 🚨: for many years we’ve been pursuing the #QuadrupleAim in healthcare. In this paper by MarkRastetterMD and me, we share why #healthequity must be central to the aim, and is, in fact the #bullseye 🎯! jhmhp.amegroups.com/article/downlo…

“Even w/ pursuit of lower cost, population health, patient centered and provider satisfying care, we are at risk of elevating the quality of care for some and exacerbating health disparities for others if we are not intentionally pursuing #healthequity as its own, unique goal...”

Can we pls stop using the phrase “free and fair” elections? People waited HOURS to vote and Black voters waited longer, some up to a day. Time is money. Also, elections are nothing but fair. The Black vote is suppressed and it’s always been this way. Stop playing yourselves.

Let us be clear, while this is a step in the right direction, Twitter, and other social media companies and message boards, still have a lot of work to do to clean up their platforms and stop the spread of hateful ideologies and propaganda.

With people over the age of 65 accounting for 70% of deaths in Utah, this message was needed now more than ever. Thank you @Aging_MD and Emily Sydnor Spivak for your tireless efforts in urging Utahns, especially older Utahns, to get the #COVID19Vaccine as soon as they can.
