Wish people would stop telling kids "it's good to make a mistake." Really? In what field? It's good to learn from them. It's good to accept that we make them. It's good to correct them. It's good to make up for them. But good to make them? Do we really want to encourage mistakes?

Teachers do not get into teaching for the money. We get into it because we love it. The best way to make teachers NOT love teaching? Micromanaging them and taking away their autonomy.
