It was such an honor to showcase the amazing work happening in our Bilingual/ Dual Language programs today with engage2learn! PPSD Multilingual Learners @nfontes

14 years ago I started my career as a Dual Language educator in Dallas ISD under the leadership of superintendent #DrMichaelHinojosa. Today I was able to showcase the amazing work happening in our Bil/Dual Language Providence Public Schools & learn from his expansion initiatives #TrulyHumbling

If you know anyone who would make a great MLL Coordinator/ Project Manager, please share this posting:  governmentjobs.com/careers/provid… PPSD Multilingual Learners Providence Public Schools Coalition for a Multilingual RI RI Education Jobs

I am so grateful for this mighty group of women! We kicked off the new school year with an MLL team retreat. We are ready to serve our PPSD Multilingual Learners, schools & community! Rebeca Filomeno-Nason @nfontes

It was a hot day to be at the warehouse today but having this great company made all the difference! Teamwork makes the dream work! Colene Van Brunt

Thankful to have spent my morning alongside other @ppsdMLL educators at the RITELL fall conference. I really enjoyed hearing/ learning from Dr. Ayanna Cooper. Dina Cerra Angela Vieira

So thankful to work with such amazing colleagues! Rosario and Angela helped spread some cheer today at several of our elementary schools. If you didn’t get a visit from them today, you may see them tomorrow :) PPSD Multilingual Learners

So proud of our amazing PPSD Multilingual Learners ! Leviton is a beautiful example of what our MLLs can achieve when given the supports they need! I am truly blessed to work with the most hardworking, talented & passionate individuals. Our Dual Language educators make the magic happen!

The Providence Public Schools Math coaches engaged in an online PD session today focused on Implementation of Math language routines. We watched this video to help guide our discussion: youtube.com/watch?v=D6HUv2… I’ve watched it many times & always take away something new. What’s your takeaway?

What an amazing day celebrating multilingualism and multiculturalism with so many PPSD Multilingual Learners educators at the Multistate Association for Bilingual Education, NE conference! And what a highlight to hear from Secretary Miguel Cardona! “You can’t separate language from culture!” Me siento muy inspirada!

This was the highlight of my day! Thanks for inviting me Mary E. Fogarty Elementary.

It was so uplifting to hear from our amazing students today at our Dual Language showcase! “Dual Language is never gone from us. It stays in our heart even after we exit or graduate.” -5th grade DL student from Young Woods ♥️

This is the third week of leading summer PD for the MLL team, but today was extra special because we were able to welcome new Providence teachers! About 60 new teachers actively engaged in learning best practices to support our PPSD Multilingual Learners. ♥️

I feel very blessed to work with this amazing team! We kicked off the new school year with a team retreat and are ready to serve our PPSD Multilingual Learners, families and community!

I loved watching all PPSD Multilingual Learners in this Central Newcomer Chemistry class engage in collaborative group work and scientific dialogue! Students were set up for success with model exemplars and resources to support their research. This group was researching Alkaline Earth Metals 🌍♥️

April break means the PPSD Multilingual Learners team has some extra time to reflect, measure progress towards our team goals and plan for a strong end of year! So thankful for this team! Teaching & leading is a work of the heart! ♥️🌎📚📝

I loved seeing PPSD Multilingual Learners working on monologue portraits today at Hope High School. Their teacher added multiple scaffolds to help students answer multiple higher order thinking prompts. The project reminded me of an assignment I had while I was an undergrad student at Brown.

We had our EOY PPSD Multilingual Learners team retreat today. It was wonderful to reflect with this amazing group on the progress we have made towards our goals and to plan for the 25-26 school year! I have THE BEST team! 🌎💗💪🏼
