If you live in Kansas the state sales tax on food, food ingredients and some prepared food goes from 6.5% to 4% effective 1/1/2023. By 2025 it goes to 0%.

It’s funny to me that the government has a specific division in house bills for technical corrections. You’re telling me they sometimes make drafting errors when passing legislation the last week of the year?! No way!

Be on the lookout for tax docs in the mail in the coming weeks and don’t throw them away. W-2, 1099, 1098, etc. You or your tax preparer will need them all!
