mindfulness = not thinking of things to do, but instead focusing on the here & now: Explore & experience objects. If eating, concentrate on the texture of food. With music, focus on each instrument. Walk outside and notice sights, sounds & smells. mindfulness is a stress reducer!

Denial is a defense mechanism. Your mind dismisses unpleasant or dissonant information that could make you feel bad. Perhaps you ignore it or put it aside. In the short term, this can be a stress relief in that you are deciding not to deal with “it” for now. A temporary respite
